Helping small businesses grow.

The PITCH Wednesday, December 2, 2026

The PITCH 2026 spotlights Growth Series graduates as they present bold business goals that will shape the future of our regional economy to partners, mentors, sponsors, investors, and the broader community. Now in its fourth year, The PITCH has become a catalyst for growth-stage businesses, expanding access to capital and driving lasting economic impact across the region. Last year, The Pitch drew more than 115 business leaders and community members, with even greater attendance expected in 2026.

Since completing the Growth Series and participating in The PITCH, businesses have achieved meaningful milestones:

  • Infrastructure and Equipment: One participant transitioned from a home kitchen to a permanent brick-and-mortar location, becoming a visible anchor in the local economy.
  • Market Expansion: Another founder secured wholesale distribution, moving products from local markets to regional grocery shelves.
  • Professional Licensing: Several businesses obtained critical certifications and insurance, unlocking access to larger contracts and new revenue streams.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Participants have formed collaborative partnerships, co-marketing services and attracting new dollars into the South Haven region.

These examples underscore that The PITCH is more than a moment. Its impact is sustained over time, reflected in the 92% of alumni businesses still operating, employing our neighbors, and anchoring our downtowns years after the final pitch.

“Sponsorship of The PITCH 2026 signals leadership in driving business growth, supporting job creation, and building a more resilient economy,” says Executive Director Elizabeth Bernhard. “It is a visible commitment to strengthening the entrepreneurial pipeline and accelerating long-term economic impact in Southwest Michigan.”

“Your support does more than fund an event; it strengthens the systems and resources that enable small businesses to grow, create jobs, and contribute to a thriving regional economy,” she adds.
