Dec. 18 – Collaborative Decision Making

  • Working effectively toward a common goal
  • How your strengths may affect your collaboration
  • Understanding and applying “ELMO” (Enough, Let’s Move On)

Jan. 8 – Valuing DEI & Belonging

  • The positive impact of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB)
  • Defining and understanding DEIB within an organization
  • The value of the diversity of strengths within a group

Jan. 15 – Community Panel / Importance of Building Relationships

  • Understanding that “relationships are everything”
  • Applying your strengths to networking, including Networking BINGO
  • One hour of conversation with a guest panel of 4-6 community members

Feb. 12 – Critical Thinking & Problem Solving

  • Importance of critical thinking and problem solving
  • Reasons groups struggle to solve problems together; strengths-based problem solving
  • Introduction to and application of the Problem Solving Framework

Feb. 26 – Emotional Intelligence & Engagement

  • The rise of AI and the need for Emotional Intelligence (EQ)
  • The four EQ Competencies
  • Six Leadership Styles and how to leverage strengths for positive outcomes
  • Measuring Employee Engagement

March 19 – Health, Wellbeing & the Future of Work

  • Gallup’s five factors of wellbeing
  • Addressing burnout and using strengths to reframe wellness goals
  • Future of Work topics: AI, remote/hybrid work, and addressing workplace challenges

March 26 – Leadership Discipline

  • Career crafting
  • The six pillars of a Leadership Legacy
  • Strategies for leadership discipline; identifying personal commitments

April 9 – Applied Leadership Experience Presentation

  • Brief recap of the various topics covered
  • 3-5 minute Applied Leadership Project presentations from each participant
  • Graduation ceremony

TBD – Capital Trip

  • Understanding the political impact on businesses and the community
  • Networking with Representatives at the State Capitol
  • Exposure to the inner workings of the State Legislature

Program Details

  • When: Thursdays, 8:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

  • Where: South Haven Sessions will be held at LMC’s South Haven Campus: 125 Veterans Blvd, South Haven

  • Instruction: Sessions are led by a diverse group of experienced local leaders.
